Welcome to LilacsNDreams everyone! All the different silver trays we find, that we have from time, and what to do with them. Many things can be suggested, and shown for you to do with your collections, inheritance, thrifting finds, junking, and etc. 

So, how many silver trays do you have hidden in your closets, sitting around collecting dust, or maybe you just have a pile of them you adore but not sure what to do with them. There are many neat things that can be done with them whether they are tarnished, polished, different sizes, and different shapes too. There is always some sort of way to use them, display them, or maybe revive them too.

In your researches of the internet, Google, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, and so on you will find many suggestions for their use. Some of the suggestions will be of different ways to display, or craft with them. Make them into chalkboards, maybe add a cloche to it, make magnetic message boards, paint them, make cake pedestal stands, design some mosaic work with them, the possibilities are endless. With the pictures I am sharing some have working links, some I found did not have working links, and some of the sights have closed. Old pictures, ideas, but are still used to this day. Just a little more updated, and some creative imaginations too.

Repurpose Upcycle Reuse For Fun Profit and Memeories with LilacsNDreams. Welcome to everyone visiting. 

I am always curious as to why so many like to DIY crafting, repurposing, upcycling, and reusing. If not doing it yourself then the pleasure you have seeing what others offer with these techniques. 

I know there are many who do this because they enjoy doing these things. Some will do these things to freshen up what they have making it a little more modern to fit with decor of today. There are some who like to preserve items found today, or maybe things from our past. Then, there are some who just hate throwing things away, and try to find other ways to maybe use things. Of course when we thrift, and junk we also find many unwanted treasures with possibilities too. A little cleaning, maybe a touch of paint, maybe even reuniting with other pieces making something unique. The possibilities are endless. 

There are many people around us who do this for their own pleasures. Some will do these things to resell too. Then, some do it as a hobby while others have mastered these techniques to have their own business selling items. 

A time to toss, and then a time to repurpose and upcycle by using old items for new purposes. Reuse discarded materials for creating something of value for many reasons. I like to repurpose items myself giving them a new life, making them unique, and sometimes to resell too. Giving new life to once loved treasures adding to our home, and I enjoy offering to others who share some of the same enjoyments too. 

Due to so many things being used with DIY crafting the list is endless. Headboards can be made from shutters, pallets, barn wood, combining shelves, and etc. Jewelry pieces are used for making new pieces, adorning picture frames, adding to cards made, making decorative wall decor pieces, and endless possibilities. Suitcases can be used in making end tables, decorate them for storage of memories and your personal treasures, storage of cards, etc. Sweaters, or shirts of loved ones can also be made into things to remember them with. Pillows has been kind of popular with this. It’s amazing all the possibilities, and ideas you can do. Check out Pinterest for some ideas, and google some ideas too.

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! Sometimes I like to spend a little time looking back at things I have done, where I’ve been, thoughts, ideas, and memories from time. It’s sometimes a reminder of what I was doing, where I was headed, and things like that. 

So looking through things I am reminded of my first vendor fair that I did with an invite from my neice. We were about 1 1/2 hours away from home. An area that she kind of knew with family, growing up, etc. Parking had been an issue, no one really greeted us to inform us of where to go and set up, this event did have an admissions fee, and it appeared quite a few vendors at this event seem to know some people from town there too. We did kind of a rush job with our set up. It had not been well planned out, and we should have slowed down a little bit. It was not all handmade items offered with vendors which I assumed it would be with a craft fair. At the time I had a new phone so some pictures went missing. I shared what I could find of what products I brought with me. I like creating a variety of different decor items.

With these 2 blue plate stands I used a black iron candle holder and painted them white to unite with these christmas plates. I loved how they turned out, and sturdy too

I still adore making angels, and of course these bottles from Dollar Tree were popular to use

Doing Vendor Fairs is always a touch, and go thing. It’s a learning experience. Things to learn, and keep in mind for events. Location, traffic, event surroundings and other things being done at the time, season, time of year, each location is different people and sometimes different interests of what they might want, your layout, curb appeal to draw interest for visitors, and many many things to consider.

I haven’t done any vendor fairs for a while now. Weddings, neice pregnant and birth, health, moving, and just a few factors…excuses too. Honestly, this year I am missing it, and hoping to maybe get some in more towards Fall and Christmas holiday time. Until then I read, and review things about different places that others offer to everyone. For sure I would love to plan for next year with my booth layout, products, and things to make it a fun great time too.
