Social Media Tools Used For Vintage Handmade Homemade and More

Social Media Tools Used For Handmade Homemade and More.

LilacsNDreams Welcomes you. Recent postings have been discussing a bit about Social Media, and Social Networking, and I would like to continue a bit more with this subject.

Today I will be noting some of the more popular social networks that are being used, and make a little note about them too. Please remember that these places mentioned are not all of them out there as there are so many of them. Just depends on your interests, your business, your personal thoughts and feelings, what your goals are, and so on. So, good luck to you in your choices, and please read on.

Social Media Networks to Maybe Consider:

Facebook:  This social networking service allows the users to upload pictures, and allows text to be shared too. What use to be Facebook Pages, and is now the Facebook Timeline allows you to have followers, or rather people who Like you. With this they can better follow you for your business, and stay better up to date on specials, events, announcements, etc. A regular Facebook page is how many start off to socialize with. Some do not desire to have the extra page, and do quite well too.

Google+: This is another social network service which happens to be newer than Facebook also. Here you can also upload photos, text, and videos that you would like to share with everyone. When sharing such things they are done publicly, or you can also choose to only share with certain circles of your choice. Having a circle has been organized by you which are different groups of people that you wish to share with.

Google+ Pages:  This is something that is organized by groups, some organizations, and some businesses that set up profiles for posting which will post information to other groups that would be interested.

LinkedIn: Another social network that focuses a bit more with business relations.

Ning:  This is a social network that would be designed by you the administrator with the needs that you have in mind. This social network generally includes having a forum, photo galleries, blogs, some have live chit chat, and is a place for others to collect to that share some of the same interests, and same businesses too. It is a way to be active, and interact with others which can be beneficial, fun, and a learning experience for many as well. If you click on my Lets Get Social Tab at the to you can get an idea of what some of them do with some I have listed.

Pinterest:  Has become another form of social networking which is quite popular now, and has grown pretty fast too. This form is done by using pin boards. You use a photo technique of things that you find of interest which might include vintage, collectibles, repurposing, upcycling, handmade, homemade, blogs, websites, and so on. Another great way to bookmark things you find of interest, for further reference, and also great in organizing some of your thoughts and ideas too.

Wanelo:  This is another form of social networking using the pin board idea too. Here again you will pin, or save photos into collections that you have organized yourself. With Wanelo the difference is that you are openly allowed to do self promoting here too.

Please remember that these are the most used, or more popular social networks that have been mentioned. There is much more out there to see, and find. Some days I surprise myself when I come across yet another social network, and am reminded how the internet is such a big place.

Remember now if you would happen to know of more, or wish to bring more to the attention of all of us here you are more than Welcome to do so. Love to hear ideas, and more input from others that are willing to share with us. Don't forget to say Hi also so that if possible I can also hop over to visit with you. Thanks for sharing your time with LilacsNDreams, and see you again soon.

Social Media Social Networking Connections and What is It

Social Media Social Networking, Connections, and What is It.

Welcome again to LilacsNDreams everyone. Social Networking, and Social Media can be done for fun, for pleasure, and for business too. Many things discussed today among many is Social Networking which can also be known as Social Media too. In order to get more of an understanding for defining these I had gone to Wikipedia for this.

Social Networking Services is an online service, a platform, or a site that builds and reflects from social networks, or social relations upon people. An example is from people who share the same interests and activities, and people with similar interest, activities, and backgrounds that make their own communities. These social networking sites allow people to share ideas, some activities, events, and some interests within their own little networks. If you visit Wikipedia you can read of what I have noted here, and of course a little bit more is shared too. Make sure to not just read the meaning they show, but to further follow down the page reading as well. Very interesting reading.

Websites that invite you to interact on the site, and with other visitors will fall into the definition of Social Media. Some of our first thoughts when seeing this word is of instrumental. As you read further you will also see how it relates to the issues of Social Networking too. I have found the definition for this at Please visit to also read about this too.

Social Networking can be a great home for us on the Web, or the Internet. Helps you to connect with people, maybe connect with some old friends, reconnect with some long lost friends, and it can also help you with your business career by making some connections too. The Social Networks range from a friend based network like Facebook, My Space, Google+ onto some with movie networks like Flixster, and Last.FM to more of the business Social Networks like LinkedIn, and XING. I did find this little tidbit for this at

Make sure to come back, and visit with LilacsNDreams. Keep in touch with Me, and also to watch the next few postings I am working on for Social Networks, and Social Media being used, some brief explanations for them of what they do, and so on.

Thanks for sharing your time with Me. Have a most wonderful day!

Blog Blogger Blogland Part of Social Media Networking of Today

Blog Blogger Blogland is Part of Social Media Networking of Today. Hello, and Welcome to LilacsNDreams!

At this time I know I am discussing a bit about Blog and Blogging, also your Seo, and Social Media Networking, but it is kind of coming together if you will bear with me everyone. One post will usually lead into another. That is sometimes, not all of the time. I try, and do the best that I can.

Why you may ask should it be covered. Social Media, and Social Networking is a growing thing, and still growing today. It is done in many forms. Everyone has places they are involved with, places they participate in, areas they like to work with, places they keep in touch with, and etc. Believe it, or not it is all helpful. Some of what you do with participating is really helpful to not only the sites, but also to you. It has been mentioned by many that doing all of this is good for those who do Online Sales, for Marketing, your Brick and Mortar Stores, and etc.

So, one of the questions is Why Blog, and should I be Blogging? Yes, there are many reasons that you should Blog. I will try not to bore you with all of it, and to keep it simple too. 1) Social Media or Social Networking is one reason for it. Blogging has become another form of Social Media which is like Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and places like that. 2) Another reason to Blog is that is gets you published. Getting published is by working with certain things in regards to your SEO that get you noticed in search engine rankings, and etc. 3) Another reason to Blog is getting your message of what you want to share out there to others who would like to also read it, learn from it, and share with it too. Remember that there is no right, or wrong message to put out there. It just all depends on the message that you wish to share, and how you would like others to be able to relate with it too. 4) Blogging has become another way of sharing tips, questions, answers, and tutorials. 5) Blogging has also become a great way for Teachers, and Students to share pictures, class notes, and work.

Blogging is versatile also. It is not just for one form of a profession, but is for many forms. People who use Blogs as a form of social media, and networking is Online Sellers, Brick and Mortar Store Owners, Small Companies, Big Companies, Journalists, Photographers, Writers, Publishers, and etc. Many people have turned to the forms of Blogging as the Social Media Networking area keeps growing.

Choosing the right platform is something that you will have to do yourself. Consider which platform is best for you, your needs, and with your capabilities of the use of the platform too. The more popular platforms that you see many using is with and also with Another growing platform that some have found use in is with Choosing the platform that will work for you all depends on what you have in mind for using your blog for, your goals, and the ease in which you wish to have for your followers, and you to use too.

1) Tumblr is a platform with Social Media of simple, and quick posts. Some of the themes are free, and then there are some premium paid themes too. There are no additional plug ins used to add any additional features to your Blog. This is known as a nice place to use for your casual internet presence.

2) Word Press is another platform for a more serious blogger to use. There are 2 forms of Word Press that can be considered which is, and also The .com of Word Press is the hosted service of software, and has the basic features offered for free. It does display ads on your blog unless you would like to purchase an ad-free upgrade. The .org is the home of software. You get complete control, and flexibility with this one. You could download the software that needs to be installed on a web hosting server for it to work. Such places like Go Daddy, Blue Host, and etc.

3) Blogger of course is another free service chosen by many as well. With Blogger you do not have to have certain plug ins in order to have certain features. You are allowed up to 20 pages with Blogspot, or also known as Blogger. They are static pages that you use. You are also allowed up to 100 blogs per account. Just like with Word Press there are pros, and cons to using this platform as well.

As is visual I myself am using Blogspot, or Blogger. I have a blog with Word Press also, but I favor the Blogger one more. I am use to Blogger because in reality I have had my blog since 2009, and worked with it more. I enjoy the ease of use of things, find it a little easier to navigate around with Blogger, and upon working with my Blog and things I can also make this show in search engines as well. Yes, wordpress does show too. It's all in some of the things you apply to everything you do which we are learning about a little at a time here.

Our holiday weekend is soon here. I wish you all well with the weekend by being safe, enjoying it, and having fun too. Take care, and thank you for sharing your time with LilacsNDreams! See you all again soon.

The American Flag Flies Because....Please Remember Today

The American Flag Flies Because . . . Please Remember Today.

I found this little saying I am about to share with you on Facebook. It is a page that is going with many joining it. How true, and some words to think of too. Please read along.

The American Flag Flies Because . . . . .
The American flag does not fly because the wind moves past it . . . The American flag flies from the last breath of each military member who has died serving it.  Americans don't fight because they hate what's in front of them . . . They fight because they Love what's behind them.

Again, while celebrations of today continue for all of us, and all of what we believe in. Please, take a moment to remember those men, and women fallen. Also, remember those men, and women who are still serving today too. Bless you all, and have a wonderful Memorial Day!:)

Photo Editing Options Offered Since Picnik Closed

Photo Editing Options that are Offered Since Picnik had Closed.

Hello, and Welcome to LilacsNDreams! How many of you used Picnik? I did, and I sure do miss it too. Sad that it closed. They had the free version, no sign in, just go to it, and edit your pictures as you needed. I used them a lot to edit my photos for my venue listings, and also for pictures to show with other social networks too.

There are many places out there offered for you to use, and how do you know which ones are the good ones, the bad ones, the free ones, and etc. Takes time to search for these, and then to find one that suits you, and your needs. Not just because someone else is using it, but what works best for you. So, in this posting I am enclosing a partial list of some I have found, maybe heard about, or have seen others mention to try and use too. Remember, there is no right or wrong one to use. The one to use is the one that suits you, and that you find works for you. After reading this list if you know of others to be mentioned for some to look at, please leave a comment about it with the addy to it also.

Photo Editing Options:

befunky - apply photo effects, enhance, edit pictures photos online. . . I did not mind this one
picmonkey - this site is being noted as a replacement for picnik to use, and consider, some of the developing people with this site had also worked with picnik also. . . Yes, I played with this one too
pixlr - this is a free online photo editor with no registration
FotoFlexer - is the most powerful online photo editor, and it is free
Picasa - you can organize, edit, and share your photos with this one
PhotoShop -  the free version of this allows you like 1.8 GB free to use, to me it can be complicating to use, but that is also due to the simplicity of others I have used
PhotoScape - this is another free photo editing software
Phixer - this one directly supports Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr along with others
ipiccy - loads pictures quickly, and this site has simplicity to work with. . . I have tested this one also, and found it to be better than I thought it would be too
Gimp - is an open source answer to Adobe Photoshop, and many have found they like this one once you got use to working with it
fotofuze - is a free to use online application, and I found this one mentioned at Etsy

I ask you to please remember that these are not all the programs available being offered. There are many more I have seen others use, and again it is up to you what you use, and what works for you. I have found that I enjoy working with befunky, picmonkey, and ipiccy because of their simplicity of use. ipiccy did load nicely with the pictures I had found too. Any other suggestions, or knowledge of others places please make sure to share them with all of us here.

Thanks for sharing your time with LilacsNDreams, and I hope that some of you have found this list to be of use to you. I wish you well, and much luck with all of your photo editing needs. Take care my friends, and see you again soon.

Your Online Yard Sale Theory to Achieve Traffic

Your Online Yard Sale Theory to Help Achieve Traffic. Welcome to LilacsNDreams everyone!

For those of us who sell online with different market places, maybe have a brick and mortar store, or maybe have your own websites you sell with, and well, you got the idea. Anyway, one of the questions we often ask ourselves, and others is how many items should we list. How many items is necessary to have in our stores to be offered for sale, or resale. Does it really make a difference the amount of items that we list, or have on the shelf for sale.

In theory, yes it really does make a difference. Think of it this way, with this example I will use. You wouldn't have a yard sale with only maybe like 10 items on your lawn, and expect to get traffic pulling up all day now, would you. So, in theory when thinking about this the more items you have for your shops the more people will stop, and spend time looking around at everything too. Makes sense, don't you think. I am that way myself when I think about it. Unless I am really interested in just the one item, I like to roam and look around, and when I go looking for one thing I generally end up looking at more that is being offered with the store too.

Another thing to maybe think about too is that some yard sellers are able to sell coffee, or even baked goods with their sales. Maybe, just maybe there is something that you too can offer of small, or inexpensive that people could also purchase. There is usually someone out there for everything we sell. It is just a matter of getting the traffic to our shops, and getting the attention to help with our sales.

I know you have heard this like a million times from many places, and many people. It's really true though. Don't put all of your eggs into one basket. It helps to get yourself out there, and also join some sites too. The more exposure you can get, the more people see your name, the more common it becomes to them that they will stop on by your place.

I had to throw this idea out there I thought of the other day. Kind of like a food for thought type thing, but makes sense when you think about it too. Gives you some idea of things to think of, and maybe apply to your own stores if you are not already.

Hey, thanks so much for sharing your time with LilacsNDreams! Glad to have you here, and happy to hear from you too. Always welcome to share a thought, or two with all of us. Take care, and have a wonderful Wednesday everyone. See you again soon.

The How to of Removing Stains From Corningware Pieces

The How to of Removing Stains From Corningware Pieces.

Yuk! Eww! How many times have we experienced this issue with some of our corningware pieces of our own, or those we find while thrifting too? No matter where it came from I myself like corningware, pyrex. These pieces are known to last forever, but maintaining them gives them even a better life span too. Them darn stubborn stains can collect over time, and if not properly cleaned after use it will keep building too. Ewww!

These were some instructions I found a long time ago while roaming the wonderful internet. Made a note of it, and thought maybe I would share with all of you corningware, pyrex lovers too.

Things You Will Need:
     1) Rubber Gloves
     2) Newspaper
     3) Oven Cleaner
     4) Trash Bag
     5) Dish Pan
     6) 1/4 c. of white vinegar
     7) 1 tsp. hand dish washing soap
     8) Dish Scrubber
     9) Kitchen Towel

Ok, you get all these supplies now? If not, make sure you get your notebook, and make some notes to yourself, or just Bookmark this too:) Ok, here goes with cleaning now.
     1) Wear gloves - would help to open some windows in the kitchen to keep some fresh air, or turn on the ventilation fan to circulate
     2) Set your piece, or pieces of corningware, pyrex on the newspaper. Coat these pieces with some oven cleaner. Then, place these items into a trash bag. Seal the bag.
     3) Now, leave the sealed corningware over night. The oven cleaner used will break down, and it loosens the stains during this time of being sealed. Makes it much easier to remove.
     4) On the next day take your bag outdoors. Have a dish pan of hot water with you too. Remove the items from the bag, and set into the dish pan of hot water.
     5) Add the 1/4 c. of the white vinegar, and the 1 tsp. of the dish soap to the hot water. Scrub the corningware with the dish scrubber to remove those nasty stains that were loosened by the oven cleaner.
     6) Once done, rinse the corningware pieces well with some plain water. Make sure you remove ALL the chemicals that had been used, and then dry with your clean kitchen towel.

These are some easy instructions shared with you to use cleaning some of those stubborn corningware pieces that need a little help. Good luck with your cleaning, and hope you find this to be helpful with it. If you have some other cleaning methods you know to work, please feel free to share them. We all would love some ideas, and some known methods that we can use.

I know this was a bit of a break from some of the posts I started on my "new" blog, and you will see this done at times. When I think of something, or maybe last minute find something I think you would like, I will throw it into here for you all to read, and to share back with too. Hope you found this to be useful to you, or maybe someone you know.

Thanks for visiting LilacsNDreams, and wishing you all a super Tuesday! Take care, and see you all again soon.

* * * UPDATE * * *
I would like to add to this that using methods I have mentioned is not always tested by Me so I cannot be held liable, and it is done at your own risk. All products, and situations may be different. I would suggest visiting with  to see what they know, and can report of what to use to clean with. Some methods can be safely used once, but over an extensive amount of use and time colored items may fade, or become damaged.

Blog Blogging And Using Some Seo

Blog Blogging and using Some Seo with it too. Welcome back to LilacsNDreams, and glad to have you all here.

This will be another posting sharing a bit more about Blogging, and using Seo with Blogging, what to do, and why it is good for you to apply some of these things. Especially if this is for business you want to work with your Seo. There is an On Page Optimization, and there is also an Off Page Optimization. All the Search Engines have a unique algorithm for determining how relevant that your blog posting is to be given for a query.

The On Page Optimization is for how many words are in a post that match up with a search that has been done. You want to create content that pertains to your business, subject, or topic of your post. It is helpful to try to answer questions within your blog post too. Doing some of this can help with you ranking higher in the searches.

You want to Brainstorm Keyword Phrases. Brainstorm as many keyword phrases along with words that you can rank with. Keep in mind to use those that prospective customers, and those searching would use.

Good to use Keyword Analysis Tools like the Google Adword Keyword Tool.  You could also use the Google Analytics. In this report you could also see the keywords that are being used to maybe find some of your posts. There are different free things out there for you to use for researching keywords that could be used. Keep in mind, there are also places out there that asked to be paid for this service too.

There are tools to help determine how many people are searching for the phrases you use, the keywords you use, and can also give you an idea of how much competition is there for each thing used too. Using keyword phrases can sometimes help more than just a keyword as you will learn.

The Off Page Optimization refers to how many quality inbound links that you have. Those are links from other websites, blogs, directories, pages, and etc. that come to your Blog, and your post. This is referred to the other half of the search engine equation. The Search Engines see those inbound links as a "vote of confidence".

Different variables that can effect how important each link is with the Linking Site, Number of links on the referring page which each page does have a limited amount (reminder about not over doing it as was suggested with the keywords), Context of the Linking Page with your blog subject and if links are from that subject, and then there is Anchor Text which the words in the link are critical. You want to use words that again pertain to your topic, and of course what your business is about too. An example is using such words as vintage, collectibles, repurposing, and upcycling. These are words that I could use, and then I would have those words link to either a blog post, a website, one of the stores used, and so on like that.

To get more incoming links to your Blog, or your Website you could use How to Articles, speak of a certain topic, use and give instructions for completion of certain topics, and another suggestion to use for some of this would be to use a video. You know, like You Tube or something. Yes, videos have been highly recommended because it has been noted how people like to view things being told. Another suggestion to use for links it to maybe use Guest Blog to create keyword rich links to your blog, or website.

Links were mentioned before, but also don't forget your backlinks too. Not only do you want links going back to the places of interest, but you would also like to have those links coming back to you as well. Preferably they are links from sites, or even places that share some of your same interests to be more meaningful to be used. This can also help you with a higher search engine ranking too.

Remember that when you blog you want to find topics that pertain to the audience, your customers, your followers, and those who find you with searches to visit too. I know, it is hard to please everyone, and make them all happy. Do the best you can. Showing what appeals to you, or what you share can also show some of your interests, and your personality with it too. (I better not show everything, it could be scarey..LOL!)

Try to publicize your blogs. You can do this by sharing them to different places such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Digg, Stumble Upon, and etc. You generally will see more reaction, or interactions with this than the comments left on your blogs.

As mentioned before try to show your personalities through your blogs too. People can see you, sense you this way, and through your words, how maybe you represent yourself, and it is also good for creating relationships, and some business relationships too.

Back to the idea of a Blog topic. If you have thoughts, something you would like to share, see something that maybe refers to being a good topic please make a note of it. It can be very easy to grow your topic list this way, and I have found to be very helpful too. Sometimes we may have a block of thoughts, and ideas. The notes can help, or also using Word Tracker can be helpful to use too. Remember to be consistent with your blog postings, have some sort of schedule for when you post, and to keep in mind how you can always post again about a topic you already used. When doing this you are adding to the topic, and you are also refreshing the thoughts, and comments with it too.

Sorry this is so long everyone. Kind of like there is never enough time, or space to put in all you want to say, and do...know what I mean?:) Thanks for taking the time to stop by, read with me, and share with me anything you would like to add too. Thoughts, and ideas are always Welcomed here at LilacsNDreams

Ya'll take care, and have a Wonderful Day!:) See you again soon.

Blog or Blogging Using Seo With Results

Blog or Blogging Using Seo With Results. Who would have guessed, right?

Hi, and Welcome to LilacsNDreams everyone! Glad to have you with us all here today. I have started my 1st post with my Blog about Blogging for Business Pleasure or Both. Today I want to try to cover using some of the Seo techniques in your Blogs, and how it can help too.  I am going to cover a little bit today, and in my next posting I will cover a little bit more about Seo with Blogging too.

When we Blog whether it is for business, projects, organizations, companies we work for, etc we need to remember to work with our Seo. I try to do it all the time myself. A good reminder is to start your Blog post with your post title. Make sure you have some keywords in the title. Also, remember that the search engines will give just a little bit more weight to the 1st 3 to 4 words. It helps to use keyword phrases through the body of your post. You should really try to do this right away, and try to use it a couple of more times in your post too.

It is good to use links suitable for the pages in your Blog. Link the name to a page with a site where you can maybe buy an item from that you are selling. It is good to link your keywords. Don't forget to also anchor text too. Here are a few examples to help you. Ecrater is one of my stores, and maybe use the word vintage in a sentence. While doing that I could also note that I like to repurpose items, and I enjoy upcycling pieces too. Not so hard, and works great in sentences.

An important reminder is to not over due it either. If you over load with the keywords, and links Google will frown on it. They see it as bad, and they will not allow you into the searches either. I would like to note that you should also work on your inbound links too. Those are links that come from other web pages into your Blog. Preferably these inbound links are from other pages that share with the same things you do, are involved with the same topics that you discuss, and you know...that sort of thing. This will also have more weight with searches too.

In conclusion, things that you should work with in Blogging, and to help your rankings and searches are to perform keyword analysis to help you know which keywords  that will drive traffic to your site. Sometimes referring to your Blog as a Site, or Website is acceptable by many too. Remember to also put those keywords in your titles, within the content, and use them throughout your post too. Just don't over load the keywords so that Google has no reason to frown upon you.

Hey, I hope that this little tid bit was once again helpful to you bloggers out there. Keep in mind what is shared here pertains to Blogs, Blogging, but can also be used in other ways with your sale listings, and so on too.

Thanks for stopping by LilacsNDreams again. Hope you enjoyed the visit, and look forward to seeing you again soon. Take care everyone, and have a wonderful day!

Blog Blogger For Business Pleasure or Both

Blog Blogger For Business Pleasure or Both, so why do we Blog?

Hello, and Welcome to LilacsNDreams! Today we will consider Blogs, and Blogging. Why choose to Blog?

There are many reasons that many of us Blog. It's a great way to express yourself, and your experiences of different subjects. The subjects chosen to Blog about are of your choice, your interests, what you like, what you don't like, and sometimes is for your business too. There are many things, and many areas, and it is your choice. You could Blog about vintage, collectibles, repurposed, upcycled, junking, restoring, thrifting, crafting, handmade, homemade, collectors, dealers, sellers, stores, online sales, arts, political, business of interest, your business, and etc. See how the list could go on forever? Some use Blogs as their diary, a journal, and there are some that also do it for money too.

From research I did find that Search Engines serve up web pages, and not just websites. Every Blog post creates a new page everytime you post something. Making these pages can help you do well within your rankings of searches. You know, there are some websites that also include a Blog too. It's an idea to consider, and is one I have tried to implement myself with my website....always a working progress there. Google likes content, and Blogs give a new page all the time with a post that is sharing new content. A Blog post = web page, and web page = search opportunity.

Many Blogs describe things in depth that are of interest to you, and your audience that you attract. This is a tool that lets you get new content out continuously, or as often as you choose to post. Both your website viewers, and the search engines will see this, get notice of it, and can pick up on it too. As many know Blogging can be used as a hobby, and for many of us it is used as a business venture, or something to help with our sales. Blogging keeps growing as Social Media keeps growing. Over time many realize it is not just for professional writers, marketers with a product or service to sell, but for many reasons that are of our choice. It is very suitable for anyone with stories, or ideas that want to be shared too.

3 Things You Will Need For Business Blogging:

Use the Right Platform
There are many platforms that can be chosen from to use, and everyone will have their own preferences of what they will use, and what works for them. Many use Blogger because it has been known to be a little bit easier to work with. There are also quite a few people who will use Wordpress too. With Wordpress you get more plug-ins to work with that allow you to do more with your pages. Weebly is another place that is free not only for using as a website, but also for your Blog too. If you have not decided on a platform I recommend you research it a bit. Remember to find one that works for you, your needs, and what you are comfortable with as that is what will work for you.

Own Your Own Domain
You want to be able to Blog from your own property. Also, if you would decide that you want to move to another platform this will allow you to retain all of your inbound links that you have gathered over time too. With research I had seen it suggested to use your .com or maybe even your .net for Blogging. For me I use my .com for my main landing page of LilacsNDreams, and I also have a .com that goes to my LilacsNDreams Shoppe page for my pictures, and collections of items for sale. Go Daddy makes it really easy to direct your domain, and when need be to redirect it if you want to move it too. Was a life saver for me when I lost my other Blog, and with rebuilding this one.

Be Committed With Blogging
Yes, Blogging can take time to get seen by others, heard of by others, to get followers, getting comfortable with topics you would like to discuss and share, and just to find what works for you. When you Blog put your own character into it. Allow people to feel who you are. This is how they get to know you, to like you, wanting to share with you, sharing your links to others, hopefully some will become your friends, and also for some of us to have goals of them becoming customers who will want to buy from us too.

I have seen many times noted that an average of Blog posts done for the week should be at least 2-3 times per week. Oh, I know, where do you find the time to do ALL of this? Don't worry, we all go through this, and do find our way with it too. As for Me I do use other social network services such as Google+, Facebook, Twitter, and belong with different social medias. Honestly I spend more time with my Blog than I do with other places. I like to Blog, enjoy doing it, and also like researching with some of the topics I would like to share too. Whether it is something for business, maybe something I have learned or read, or even a little bit about Me I enjoy it. After all, a little bit of something shared is better than nothing too, right?

Time for me to slow this down a bit here, and not get ahead of myself. No reason to cram it all in at once, right? There is always tomorrow, or another day this week to share more. I have done some research with Blogging. I have found that it is becoming more popular to use, and also that some people will turn to Blogging more than just socializing too. Work with it, takes some time, but I have also seen many who have made their Blogs into their websites as well too. Just all depends on your goals, what you want, where you are going, and so on.

Create content that will help encourage people to find you, link to you, link to your Blog, and will want to share your Blog with others as well. Like anything else taking that first step is always the questionable one, but once you do it, and find your way that works for you . . . It feels good, and becomes enjoyable too.  It becomes a habit. . . LOL:)

Hope this has helped some of you, and if you have any questions please never hesitate to ask either. If you have something to share you are more than welcome to leave your comments to share with us too. Keep it clean, be nice:) and please remember that everyone has their own opinions of things too.

Thanks for visiting LilacsNDreams everyone, and as always hope you enjoyed your visit with Me. You are always welcome to drop on in anytime. Take care, and have a wonderful day. See you again soon. Till then, Be Safe!

Have a Purrfect Weekend From LilacsNDreams

Have a Purrfect Weekend everyone!

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! Glad to have you back, and happy that you found me too. I am working on getting a few things done online right now, and then I will be off to finish painting a room...trying to anyway:)

So, how are things with all of you today? I hope all is well, and going good. I was sitting here thinking, making my notes for posts to start with next week on my Blog, and all of that fun stuff. But, honestly, I was thinking isn't it amazing how the internet brings us ALL together. Even though we have different lives, we live with different surroundings and different areas, some of our interests might be different, and honestly just how some things are so different.

Yet . . . We come together craving the inspiration, the knowledge, and the beauty of others around the world...around the internet...who love what we love too. Sharing thoughts, ideas, knowledge with charming handmade or homemade issues, unique items, one-of-a-kind creations, and the reloved or repurposed finds for your homes and lifestyles.  No matter what it is, we come together for a part of our time on the internet.

Hmmm....repurposed finds, handmade goods, homemade goods, collectors, the restylists, dreamers, repurposers, the upcyclers, lovers of all things that are old - worn - torn - and tattered....we find ways to come together for a part of our days to share this, read about it, and of course....dream about it too.

Interesting when you think about it, right? Ok, enough of me right now...LOL:) Gotta go do that rolling on the wall upstairs, or it won't get done....then who will I be made at?:) Thanks for visiting with LilacsNDreams today. When you can check out my other pages, and links I have been adding to the new Blog here, and remember it is still a working progress getting this done. Come back again to keep up with any changes as I put this new Blog together. Take care, have a wonderful weekend all, and see you again soon!:)

New Blog For LilacsNDreams Come Visit With Me

Welcome back to New Blog for LilacsNDreams everyone! Always glad to see you, and visit with all of you.

I want to apologize for any inconvenience this has been to anyone with the old blog shutting down unexpectedly, and getting this new one up fast for ya'll to come too. I appreciate the kindness, and understanding during this time.

As we know this week is just a lil bit off for me...LOL:) I am not doing regular posts for this week. I have been backtracking to find some of those, or get them retrieved some how if I can to help put them back into this new blog for everyone. They are nice reminders of some things, and are great to have as reference a little bit too.

Please visit the pages, and see what has been done so far. Keep an eye out as some of it might still change yet too. Just trying to do a standard structure from what was there before.

I would also like to note that the blog is not yet completed here. Still working out some kinks, organizing things, adding some things, removing some things, and so on. On the right side bar I have gotten a start there. The pictured boxes with words in them like Socializing, Friends, and etc are pictures for the links or buttons that will be under them. Some of the areas have things completed, and some are still needing completion. Sorry about that. Trying to get all the pages back in here that I can from before - those are the tabs at the top. Reorganizing a bit of what I had before, and trying not to have it too cluttered yet have it well stocked. With some things when I add pictures or links I try to make them clickable for you. Some are easy to do, and some that come with a button picture I have to work them just a bit to get the whole thing in with the right coding for them. Or, as some of you will know...some html, or css coding, or whatever it shall be called:) I am not computer literate, do not understand it all, and learn as I go along. I am self taught so therefore I am a bit slower than some doing it too...LOL:)

I would like to again thank everyone for the visits to LilacsNDreams new blog as they learn of things that have happened, and also for the words of encouragement that I have received with all of this. I have put notices out to FB, Google+, twitter, and with some of the social networks I am associated with too. I still feel horrid about those who were following me, would leave comments, and how they are going to click to something not there. In time I hope to have some normality to things again....what is normal?...LOL:)

Thanks again everyone, and love you all for being patient with me during this trying time. Ya'll take care, and have a wonderful day!:) See ya again soon!:)

Bloglovin Added to LilacsNDreams New Blog

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hello again everyone, and hope ya'll are doing well. Thanks for visiting with the "new" LilacsNDreams Blog. Hope you are finding me ok, or are learning of my changes with things I have been submitting to as well. With this post I am doing a quick posting so I can get this blog into "bloglovin" again to be seen, and to notify others of changes there as well.

I have been trying with Google to reinstate my other blog, or at least get access to it to retrieve some of the postings from there. So far I am suppose to be in review from what I can understand....sometimes things simple are made difficult to understand you know? No promises of course, but am trying.

I have gone through notes I have here of some things I kept track of that I did for postings for all of you to read. Making a plan from that, and hope to get some of those posts back into here for everyone to see again. Again, I do apologize for any inconvenience and confusion this has made for you, and feel bad about it. But, it is over, done with, and I have to move on to get this back to where it use to be. Hopefully I have learned some things along the way that will help me just a little bit more...LOL:) I do have a completely different email address for this account which is noticeable, and is very fitting for this too....that should help with some of this too:)

Thanks for visiting with LilacsNDreams "new" blog. It's coming along, and I have been able to use some of the same things as before to help things be familiar for those who know my other blog, and to better help know you are at the right place.

Take care everyone, and see you again soon.

LilacsNDreams New Blog With Blogger

Hello, and Welcome to LilacsNDreams again everyone! Well, it is night time, my back is hurting, ankles swollen, but I have spent all day working on what I have started for this blog so far. I have been slowly adding pages, choosing the templates, and then adding my own touches to them as I move along.  For those who have gotten to my posts that I normally try to do between Tues. thru Fri....I don't think I will have one for tomorrow yet. I need to go back through notes, and again will apologize if I repeat any of my posts. Some of you have found use with them, and in order to have them for you I shall working on getting a few of them back in here again.

Hope ya'll found me ok, and hoping to have more stopping by. I need to take a break, and get this announced everywhere that I can about the blog changes. Don't want everyone thinking I disappeared, and they can no longer visit. Keep the faith's coming along. Now, for that I break I am needing....

Any questions, or an suggestions you are always Welcome to add in here you know. Thanks for coming back, and finding me. Take care, and see you all again soon.  Thanks again for your understanding...I really appreciate it!:) Oh, and I did get my .com domain directed to here. LilacsNDreams New Blog at Blogger

Hello everyone, and Welcome to the new LilacsNDreams Blog! Thanks for following me over to here, and I do hope everyone is able to find me ok.

Long story short...I was changing gmail accounts for my email, directed my sign in email for my original blog to the new gmail. Verified, approved it, accepted it, no reason to keep old gmail account for not using it, deleted that, and when I awoke on Monday morning....My blog had been deleted. Trying to get a hold of someone with Google is another real support. So disappointed as I had worked so hard on my blog, had all my links there, and was getting some really good people to share, comment, and follow along with me.

Something so simple can become something of a mess, can't it?

So, here I am again doing it all over, and hopefully I can get this done, and brought some what up to speed again. I hate doing this all over since I had my other Blog since sad. So, my profile here shows blogging since May 2012 when in reality it has been since 2009 I started with all of this. Who knows, maybe during this week I could get lucky and have my original blog back up....would be great. But, till then I had to do something for everyone....So, here I am again:) Blogger has changed over time, and things are different, and I am trying to find my way around again. Whew! Bear with me everyone...please.
Thanks for understanding, and working with me everyone. Hang in can only get better, right?:) Take care, and see you again soon.
New Blog URL is as follows:  Working on getting my .com directed to here. It's Monday...GoDaddy is having problems loading pages. Just my luck, right?:)
