Optimizing Blogger Blogspot or Blog to Achieve Traffic

Optimizing Blogger Blogspot or Blog to Achieve Traffic.

Today I wanted to share with you some things that you could do with your blogs to better help you achieve more traffic. Depending your purpose with your blog some of these things could be helpful with that.
1) Blog Title is an important part of applying proper SEO techniques. A reminder that SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. Choose a title with keywords that others might use to search with. Make sure it reflects on what your topic will be at that time too.
2) Blog Description is a significant part of a blog for Search Engine Optimization, or also known as SEO. You want your description to be appealing to visitors, and at the same time using keywords that you want to target in search engines. Remember, keywords will vary for others because it depends on what your topic will be. Some keywords that I try to use for things that pertain to my blogs, what I blog about, what I sell, and what I discuss would be like vintage, collectibles, handmade, homemade, hand altered, repurposed, upcycled, glassware, and words of use with these.
3)  Comments is something that you would like to allow with all your blog posts. Allowing comments can help enhance the value of your blog post. It can also help to update your content. This will assist in helping to improve your search engine rankings.
4)  Quality Content is a must for your blog success. When you are able to post quality content that people like to read it will in turn help improve the traffic to your blog. Use the keywords in your blog for topics, themes, business, etc. Staying within some kind of a rythmn helps people to be interested when they visit you, read what you have shared, and hopefully they will also comment and share things too.
5)  Submit Blog to Search Engines and Directories. Submitting your blog to these things will give you a better search engine rankings as well. When I myself submit my blogs I submit my domains that are directed to them, but I also submit their blogspot url addresses they have too. It helps since people will use both url addresses to come visit.
6)  Use Keywords in the Anchor Text of Links. Using keywords in the anchor text of links is of vital importance to get some of your best SEO results with. Use your primary, and secondary keywords in anchor texting of links. Again, words I generally use for me are vintage, collectibles, handmade, homemade, repurposed, upcycled, cake stand, cupcake stand, dessert pedestal stand, wedding decor, and so on. When clicking on these different keywords you will be directed to 1 of 2 shops I have items listed with. Also, keep in mind not to over due it with the keywords. Google, Bing, and the search engines see it as being over done, or an over kill which they will then ignore you. It looks like spam, and that is something all search engines try to avoid.

I hope this has helped some of you with ideas for your blog traffic. Keep in mind that this can also be  helpful with your websites, and the places that you sell your treasures with. I can honestly say by doing some of these things that it does help your views for your blogs.

Thanks for sharing your time with LilacsNDreams. See you all again soon.

Image Optimization for Online Shops, Websites, Blogs

Image Optimization for Online Shops, Websites, Blogs

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! Images and optimization is something else we need to consider when we are doing our SEO work for our shops online, websites, blogs, and etc. Reducing file sizes, naming images, and getting search engines to index them is another part of SEO that is being found to be quite helpful too.

People usually begin their searches for a product online, and your products can have a good chance with many others of being found as long as your images are optimized. Using keywords in your web page content is quite useful we have learned over time with page ranking. Using keywords with your image names is also quite useful in page ranking too.

The file names for your images should be descriptive, in plain english, and also include the right amount of keywords. Search engines not only crawl your text on your web pages, but also will search for keywords within your image files too. When doing a web search you can click on images, and let me tell you it feels good to find one of your images showing along with many other images from others too.

It is really easy, and does become a habit to keep the file name given to your pictures by your camera, but it is also a habit you should work on breaking too. An example from your camera might be ProductImage12.jpg, and a better choice to maybe use would be Pink-Cake-Stand-Pedestal.jpg.

You know it might not seem like much, but a few extra seconds of load time on your website could also cost you customers. Your pictures should be resized, compressed, and optimized. These optimized images are more suitable for web pages, email attachments, blogs, listings in your shops, and etc.

A good rule of thumb for images is that the larger the file size, the longer it takes for the page to load. To help with this issue you can decrease the sizes of your images by compressing them. Most consumers wait about 3 seconds for website to load with a desktop, or laptop. About 5 seconds on mobile devices. Amazon found that if their pages were to slow down by 1 second they would lose about $1.6 billion a year. Ouch! Google does use page load times as a factor in their ranking algorithm.

There is always something to learn, and to be shared with everyone isn't there? I want to thank you for sharing your time with LilacsNDreams, and I hope to see you all again soon. Have a most wonderful day everyone!

Google Plus Is it Needed and What is It

Google Plus Is it Needed, and What is It?

Hi there, and Welcome back to LilacsNDreams! Social Media has become a very big thing over time, it's fun, there are advantages for using with business, great way to socialize, way to get your brand name out there, meet people, make new friends, and to grow your businesses too.

Google Plus is Googles Social Network. This had revolved to make some of the exiting Google products such as Gmail, Picasa, and Blogger socially compatible. When having a Google Plus account you will not have to sign into different sites, and into different accounts to share and update activities. Information, and your functions from all of these can be integrated right into your Google Plus.

Thanks to Google the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) has been changing. Google is interested with how businesses encourage personal interaction with their customers, and to see how activity can be generated by the buttons and links on your sites.

Next thing many ask is why should I have a Google Plus when I already have Facebook. As with many things how many real friends do you have on Facebook? It is generally assumed that everyone is your friend, but this is not how your social circles actually work in real life.

Google Plus allows you to categorize your friends, acquaintences, and so on with groups or better known as circles. Doing this you can treat each circle separately too. Yes, Facebook does allow some of the same things. But, their privacy settings are confusing, and always changing too. You don't have to follow someone who is following you with Google Plus.

Google is the most powerful search engine compared to Bing, Yahoo, and so on. Of course businesses that use their products will naturally rate higher with their pages compared to those who don't.

To do these things you will need a Google account, and with the one account you can do many of these things from there. The security is great with a Google account, and I myself have noticed that I am not spammed quite as much with it.

So, do you have a Google Plus account? Do you also have Facebook? Do you have a preference with these, do you use them both, or are you only using one of them? I would love to hear some input with this as to what others are using, the good, the bad, and your experiences with this.

Hey, thanks so much for sharing your time with LilacsNDreams! I enjoyed you visiting, and hope to see you again soon. Take care, and have a fabulous day everyone!

Blog and Blogging Platforms Are Social Media Tools Used

Blog and Blogging Platforms Are Social Media Tools that are used as well. I apologize in advance as I know some of this seems a bit repeated, but trying to cover everything I am finding, or can think of as well too. Think of some of it as a reminder for our notes. Thanks so much for understanding everyone.

As I have mentioned before, and reminded to all of you there are many platforms out there to Blog with. With that in mind I will mention just a few to you, and if you know of more you would like to add to this discussion, please be so kind as to do so.

Blogs Blogging Blogland:

Wordpress - There is wordpress.com and remember there is also wordpress.org. It gets confusing, but there is a reason for them having it this way too. One of them is more detailed having a paid domain, some different plug-ins offered which can better assist you. Wordpress is one of the popular blogging tools that is used, and the content management systems that is being used too.

Blogger or Blogspot - Another popular service platform being used that does allow multi user bloggers. They do have time stamped entries which is nice for referencing. This blog publishing service does allow private blogs, or you can choose to use multi user blogs as well. One advantage to using this service is that it is a Google Tool too.

Tumblr - This service has become more popular over time. Their social networking website has a blogging platform that allows their users to post short form blogs.

Type Pad - This blogging service can be targeted to the non-technical user. They also provide photo albums, mobile blogging, and it also supports multi authors too.

Weebly - This place is known to many for a free website, but they also include blogging too. Threaded commenting went live in December of 2011. When you comment with a blog post you have the ability to directly respond to other comments, and then having your comment appearing in the line below the original comment.

Windows Live Writer - Some have mentioned how this is nice to have. It is an offline editor that is to work with all platforms.

Remember, everyone has their own preference as to where they blog, and how they blog. What one person might like, or what can work for them does not necessarily always work for the next person too. That is another reason that choices are good for us to have. I have found some who have their own websites, but have also found the ease of adding a blog to their site as well. You will also notice that some of the Social Networks do have a place to blog, or have added it over time for others to be involved with as well.

As mentioned this is not all the platforms that are out there for blogging. If you find more please let us know. Choices are a good thing to have to find the one that suits us, and works for us with our own needs.

Thanks for sharing your time with LilacsNDreams, and hope you found this to be helpful as well. Take care, and see you all again soon.

Blog Blogging And Using Some Seo

Blog Blogging and using Some Seo with it too. Welcome back to LilacsNDreams, and glad to have you all here.

This will be another posting sharing a bit more about Blogging, and using Seo with Blogging, what to do, and why it is good for you to apply some of these things. Especially if this is for business you want to work with your Seo. There is an On Page Optimization, and there is also an Off Page Optimization. All the Search Engines have a unique algorithm for determining how relevant that your blog posting is to be given for a query.

The On Page Optimization is for how many words are in a post that match up with a search that has been done. You want to create content that pertains to your business, subject, or topic of your post. It is helpful to try to answer questions within your blog post too. Doing some of this can help with you ranking higher in the searches.

You want to Brainstorm Keyword Phrases. Brainstorm as many keyword phrases along with words that you can rank with. Keep in mind to use those that prospective customers, and those searching would use.

Good to use Keyword Analysis Tools like the Google Adword Keyword Tool.  You could also use the Google Analytics. In this report you could also see the keywords that are being used to maybe find some of your posts. There are different free things out there for you to use for researching keywords that could be used. Keep in mind, there are also places out there that asked to be paid for this service too.

There are tools to help determine how many people are searching for the phrases you use, the keywords you use, and can also give you an idea of how much competition is there for each thing used too. Using keyword phrases can sometimes help more than just a keyword as you will learn.

The Off Page Optimization refers to how many quality inbound links that you have. Those are links from other websites, blogs, directories, pages, and etc. that come to your Blog, and your post. This is referred to the other half of the search engine equation. The Search Engines see those inbound links as a "vote of confidence".

Different variables that can effect how important each link is with the Linking Site, Number of links on the referring page which each page does have a limited amount (reminder about not over doing it as was suggested with the keywords), Context of the Linking Page with your blog subject and if links are from that subject, and then there is Anchor Text which the words in the link are critical. You want to use words that again pertain to your topic, and of course what your business is about too. An example is using such words as vintage, collectibles, repurposing, and upcycling. These are words that I could use, and then I would have those words link to either a blog post, a website, one of the stores used, and so on like that.

To get more incoming links to your Blog, or your Website you could use How to Articles, speak of a certain topic, use and give instructions for completion of certain topics, and another suggestion to use for some of this would be to use a video. You know, like You Tube or something. Yes, videos have been highly recommended because it has been noted how people like to view things being told. Another suggestion to use for links it to maybe use Guest Blog to create keyword rich links to your blog, or website.

Links were mentioned before, but also don't forget your backlinks too. Not only do you want links going back to the places of interest, but you would also like to have those links coming back to you as well. Preferably they are links from sites, or even places that share some of your same interests to be more meaningful to be used. This can also help you with a higher search engine ranking too.

Remember that when you blog you want to find topics that pertain to the audience, your customers, your followers, and those who find you with searches to visit too. I know, it is hard to please everyone, and make them all happy. Do the best you can. Showing what appeals to you, or what you share can also show some of your interests, and your personality with it too. (I better not show everything, it could be scarey..LOL!)

Try to publicize your blogs. You can do this by sharing them to different places such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Digg, Stumble Upon, and etc. You generally will see more reaction, or interactions with this than the comments left on your blogs.

As mentioned before try to show your personalities through your blogs too. People can see you, sense you this way, and through your words, how maybe you represent yourself, and it is also good for creating relationships, and some business relationships too.

Back to the idea of a Blog topic. If you have thoughts, something you would like to share, see something that maybe refers to being a good topic please make a note of it. It can be very easy to grow your topic list this way, and I have found to be very helpful too. Sometimes we may have a block of thoughts, and ideas. The notes can help, or also using Word Tracker can be helpful to use too. Remember to be consistent with your blog postings, have some sort of schedule for when you post, and to keep in mind how you can always post again about a topic you already used. When doing this you are adding to the topic, and you are also refreshing the thoughts, and comments with it too.

Sorry this is so long everyone. Kind of like there is never enough time, or space to put in all you want to say, and do...know what I mean?:) Thanks for taking the time to stop by, read with me, and share with me anything you would like to add too. Thoughts, and ideas are always Welcomed here at LilacsNDreams

Ya'll take care, and have a Wonderful Day!:) See you again soon.

Blog or Blogging Using Seo With Results

Blog or Blogging Using Seo With Results. Who would have guessed, right?

Hi, and Welcome to LilacsNDreams everyone! Glad to have you with us all here today. I have started my 1st post with my Blog about Blogging for Business Pleasure or Both. Today I want to try to cover using some of the Seo techniques in your Blogs, and how it can help too.  I am going to cover a little bit today, and in my next posting I will cover a little bit more about Seo with Blogging too.

When we Blog whether it is for business, projects, organizations, companies we work for, etc we need to remember to work with our Seo. I try to do it all the time myself. A good reminder is to start your Blog post with your post title. Make sure you have some keywords in the title. Also, remember that the search engines will give just a little bit more weight to the 1st 3 to 4 words. It helps to use keyword phrases through the body of your post. You should really try to do this right away, and try to use it a couple of more times in your post too.

It is good to use links suitable for the pages in your Blog. Link the name to a page with a site where you can maybe buy an item from that you are selling. It is good to link your keywords. Don't forget to also anchor text too. Here are a few examples to help you. Ecrater is one of my stores, and maybe use the word vintage in a sentence. While doing that I could also note that I like to repurpose items, and I enjoy upcycling pieces too. Not so hard, and works great in sentences.

An important reminder is to not over due it either. If you over load with the keywords, and links Google will frown on it. They see it as bad, and they will not allow you into the searches either. I would like to note that you should also work on your inbound links too. Those are links that come from other web pages into your Blog. Preferably these inbound links are from other pages that share with the same things you do, are involved with the same topics that you discuss, and you know...that sort of thing. This will also have more weight with searches too.

In conclusion, things that you should work with in Blogging, and to help your rankings and searches are to perform keyword analysis to help you know which keywords  that will drive traffic to your site. Sometimes referring to your Blog as a Site, or Website is acceptable by many too. Remember to also put those keywords in your titles, within the content, and use them throughout your post too. Just don't over load the keywords so that Google has no reason to frown upon you.

Hey, I hope that this little tid bit was once again helpful to you bloggers out there. Keep in mind what is shared here pertains to Blogs, Blogging, but can also be used in other ways with your sale listings, and so on too.

Thanks for stopping by LilacsNDreams again. Hope you enjoyed the visit, and look forward to seeing you again soon. Take care everyone, and have a wonderful day!
