Handmade Upcycled Restyled Repurposed Halloween Decor

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! Last day of September, and into October we go. Kind of exciting time of year don’t you think? We are into Fall for the season, and now we have holidays for the rest of the year.

Halloween, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas. Sadly, each year with retail things are pushed onto us faster, and faster. We hadn’t even gotten to the end of September, and already Christmas was being stocked or was pretty much stocked. That part is a little disturbing because we are losing out on the fun of things, and making memories for these times.

So, anyway I’m trying to focus on Halloween. I have been crafting for Halloween. Got my pumpkins done with the splatter guards. I had scraps of Halloween material I had picked up. I was gonna get some cheap toilet paper to make these little pumpkins, but I did something different. I had collected a few empty toilet paper rolls. I used those to group together for the pumpkin bodies, and for their stems. I only used a little glue for the burlap wrap done for the stems. The material, and the leaves were all tucked in tightly to places, and have been holding pretty good.

I started decorating a little bit on the front porch for Halloween. When it quits raining I’ll be able to get some pictures to show to all of you.

I appreciate everyone stopping by to visit with Me at LilacsNNDreams! Thank You! Hope to see you all again soon.

Fall Halloween Home Decor Handmade Repurposed Restyled DIY

Fall Halloween Home Decor That’s Handmade Repurposed Restyled and DIY

Welcome to LilacsNDreams Everyone! Glad you stopped by!

Below you will see pictures of things I have been working on within the past couple days that I have completed. Excuse the order of the pictures as me, and my IPad are not getting along tonight. I am showing you pictures of before, or close to it. Then, you are seeing the completed projects too. The little fall tree below is made from a Dollar Tree plunger, some burlap, Dollar Tree leaves, a planter, some glue, and etc.

Below were a couple of items I got from the Dollar Tree store. A witches hat with a purple Boo, and below it is some witches feet that also have purple, and black coloring too. Below this picture you will see the completed project where I attached the witches feet to the bottom of the hat.

Below you will see my first time creation of making a pumpkin from splatter guards bought from the Dollar Tree store. This picture is the completion, and below this picture you will see a picture showing the guards connected, painted, and before the leaves and ribbon had been added.

Below is a picture of my light post outside our front door. I added a little fall decor to that with Dollar Tree leaf vine, and in the pot some Dollar Tree fall flowers, and a couple of gores too. The lights you see came with this light pole.

I had fun with these projects, and am anxious to do more too. But, first I need to get some more glue to work with.

Thank You for stopping by LilacsNDreams! Take care till the next time! Toodles....

Etsy Poshmark Ebay FB Marketplace Websites Used For Online Sales

Etsy Poshmark EBay Own Website For Online Sales

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! Happy to have you stopping by! How many of you sell online? If you are selling online are you using Etsy, Poshmark, EBay, your own Website, FB Marketplace, or maybe another place not mentioned. So far I am using my Shoppe at Etsy, and once in a while I’ll put something at Poshmark. Years ago when I first started selling online I started with EBay. I usually sold vintage collectibles, sometimes home decor, and then over time I started adding in some repurposed, restyled, DIY, handmade treasures.

Season is changing, holidays are approaching, advertisements are being done on TV for some of the venues, and I’m reminded I need to get to work. I have made some items that need to be posted with my Shoppe at Etsy I love the seasons, the holidays, and I enjoy occupying my time making things for the home to display too.

If you are selling online what preference do you have for a venue? Which one have you had more success with? Would love to hear the ins, and outs of your experiences shared with us.

eBay is eBay, and is the well known one to use. I enjoyed it when I first started, and later on decided it was time to move on. I tried a few places out with one of them being Etsy. That is one Shoppe I have hung onto over time. They are known for handmade products along with vintage collectibles too. I’m anxious to list items I have made, and really get back into the swing of things. I need to hurry up, and finish projects for the home I am working on. I also need to better focus on doing my listings instead of being side tracked by all the products that others are offering. I love what others share which helps me with ideas of my own, and maybe keeps me a little busier roaming around than I should allow it to...LOL!

Thanks so much for visiting with LilacsNDreams! I enjoy the visits, comments, messages left to me, and look forward to you stopping by again. Take care till the next time everyone! Toodles . . . . . .

Repurposed Upcycled DIY Handmade Crafts

Repurposed Upcycled DIY Handmade Crafts Vintage Collectibles

Welcome to LilacsNDreams Everyone! Glad to have you stopping by! I apologize for the interruption with my weekly postings here. Hubby home, 30th Anniversary for us, treated ourselves to a new truck, Hubby leaves in truck after a few days, then is able to come home for a night because our son is on leave for a couple weeks! Busy busy yes!

I did have a small break that I started another craft project. Seasons changing, fall, Halloween, thanksgiving, and stocking on different little projects to decorate the home with I have been doing. I’m having fun, and hoping to get a break to accomplish all I want to do with all of this. Also, to get completed projects listed with my Shoppe at Etsy too. I know I’ll get it done, and hopefully soon too.

Got rid of my Malibu, and we settled on a 2019 Chevrolet truck. Sometimes a deal arises with all the right rebates, specials, and numbers that you just can’t refuse the deal. Also,  the Malibu value is continuously dropping, and it was now or never to get something out of it. Now...I have something bigger for treasures that need a little more room😊

These 2 pictures are for another project I did start. I used 3 splatter guards from the Dollar Tree store for this project. I’m working on making a pumpkin for decoration in our home. Since I glued them together I have painted them a rustic orange. I have embellishments sitting out to choose from with decorating this piece. I will share pictures once I have it completed fully.

Thanks so much for visiting with LilacsNDreams! Hope to see you again. Till the next time have fun crafting, creating, and collecting. Take care....Toodles!
